Nationals Ballpark

Nationals Park is the new home to major league baseball's Washington Nationals. This fast track design-build project was finished in twenty-three months. It is over one million square feet and seats more than 41,000 fans, including seventy-eight suites. Nationals Park is the first professional ballpark to achieve LEED Silver Certification.
Kirlin's work includes over fifty-five miles of plumbing and HVAC pipe serving 1400 plumbing fixtures and 120 AC units. The project features four air cooled chillers that have a combined cooling capacity of 1,700 tons for the glycol chilled water system. This system not only supports the air conditioning equipment for the entire building, it also cools every walk in freezer and refrigerator in the ballpark.
