Located on the campus at the University of Miami, the Bank United Center is home to Miami's Big East basketball team. The 7,000 seat sports and entertainment facility also hosts events ranging from academic programs to campus and community events to concerts and performances. The facility includes executive offices, locker rooms, kitchen and banquet rooms, concessions, broadcast and audio-visual rooms and twenty-five private suites.
Kirlin's work included the installation of a state-of-the-art HVAC system featuring three 430-ton chillers, three 3,870 GPM cooling towers with associated chilled and condenser water pumping systems, 15 air handling units, 97 VAVs, two fan coils, boilers and associated hot water heating pumps.
