Shriner's Hospital, located in Tampa, Florida, is a renowned healthcare facility, specializing in the medical needs of children.
Kirlin's mechanical and plumbing scope included adding one five-hundred-ton chiller, along with a new cooling tower, eight condenser and chilled water pumps, variable frequency drives on secondary pumps, eight new air handling units, thirty-five reheat coils, fifteen variable air volume boxes with reheat, seventeen new exhaust fans, three new dust collectors, and over one-hundred-eight-five new plumbing fixtures.
As with the majority of hospital renovation projects, challenges existed in keeping the facility operational. Shriner's Hospital was fully occupied while we performed our scope of work for Beers-Skanska, Inc. Necessary shut-downs were highly coordinated in order to maintain the continuity of the facility's services to their patients and community.
