The building is a critical facility building offering 32 MW of uninterrupted services for internet service providers. The 350,000 square foot building is divided into sixteen individual data rooms for multiple tenant use. At the time of completion the building was largest facility of its kind in the United States.
The electrical and mechanical systems are designed to guarantee 100% uninterrupted services for the owner's clients. The mechanical system included 17,280 tons of chilled water cooling capacity with two 580,000 gallon thermal energy storage tanks that deliver cooling to 424 computer room air handling units located across 300,000 square feet of data rooms. The 32 MW generators are supported by a system of our underground fuel oil tanks that will allow the facility to operate at 100% capacity for 72 hours if normal services are interrupted.
