The mechanical system at Qiagen Sciences in Germantown Maryland was built on a fast track schedule at the cGMP plant. Our team provided front end budgeting and constructability solutions to make this project a reality.
The system includes stainless steel piping and process vessels that were procured by our staff and installed to the required clean standards. We utilized our Coordination & Engineering department to 3-D model the process systems for design validation and modularization. The exacting ventilation standards were constructed with welded ductwork to provide clean air distribution. The project was successful due to early planning and the teamwork of the owner, designer and all of the contractors involved.
