Cambrex Bio Science is a leading FDA inspected, cGMP compliant, bulk biopharmaceuticals contract manufacturer. The facility provides complete services from strain and process development through phase III clinical and commercial production, including technology transfer management.
The unique nature of the operation allows rapid modification of suites with segregated HVAC system, independent upstream and downstream processing areas, WFI, USP purified water, clean steam and specialty gases.
The 58,000 laboratory and cleanroom space consists of an 8-suite vaccine production area, and is built with the flexibility to be easily retrofitted to suit the needs of the tenants.
The FDA validated environment whose rooms are maintained at progressively higher room air pressures by the 17 air handling units. USP, WFI, pure steam and other high purity gas/air systems feed various autoclaves, fermenter skids, bio safety hoods and other specialized process and bio equipment.
Laboratory waste is removed for neutralization via an elaborate underground fiberglass resin piping and "kill" system.
