ABOUT US
HISTORY
Formed in the year 1960, the company started with one job in the basement of John J. "Buddy" Kirlin. Today, Buddy Kirlin has left a legacy of excellent quality work and first-rate customer service through steady and disciplined growth – building us a reputable company that is one of the largest and most respected mechanical contractors in the United States.
Wayne T. Day succeeded Mr. Kirlin as President and CEO. Following closely with Buddy's disciplined approach and along with his partner Michael Mack, Wayne Day built Kirlin into one of the largest privately held mechanical construction companies in the United States. For more than twenty years, Wayne and Michael oversaw Kirlin's sustained growth and success throughout the Southeastern United States. During Wayne's tenure as CEO, Kirlin opened its branch offices in the Carolinas and Florida, and Kirlin also started its Special Projects Division, which is now a separate and affiliated company.
Robert W. Bacon succeeded Wayne as President and CEO, after a thirty year career at Kirlin during which Rob served for twenty years as the Carolinas' Division President. Rob and his executive team, which are the third generation of leaders at Kirlin, have more than 175 years of collective experience in the construction industry, which includes an impressive 125 combined years at Kirlin.
Our founders established a company that has grown in size and reputation with each passing generation.
